Juniors
Without these girls, my success in professional handling would not be where it is today. Thank you all very much for all of your hard work and dedication with me and all of my client's dogs. Also thanks to the parents of these juniors for entrusting me with your wonderful children. Below, each of the girls have included a short paragraph about themselves, and their favorite photo.
Morgan Hubbard

Hi my name is Morgan Hubbard and I am seventeen years old. I have been showing dogs for six years. When I first started showing, Jillayne was a competitive junior handler who I always looked up to. Jillayne began teaching me to show and helping me in juniors at age twelve. I then began to go to shows with her and help her with her client's dogs. While traveling with Jillayne, I have learned to trim, groom and perfect my handling skills. Jillayne is a very talented and respected handler who I enjoy working for. She has taught me so much on how to work with and handle dogs.
Morgan Campbell

Hi my name is Morgan Campbell; I’m 14 years old and live in the Northwest corner of Connecticut. I started showing dogs when I was a pee-wee in ASCA since my mother has been involved with Australian Shepherds since 1985. I started 4-H when I was 7 years old in both dogs and dairy cattle. Last year I was a delegate for dogs for Connecticut at the Big E Fair in October. Year 2007 was when I really started to get competitive. I now show in AKC, ASCA, and UKC. I started going to shows with Jill in 2008-2009. One of my biggest wins was in November 2009 where I went Best Junior Handler at the Springfield, Massachusetts Cluster with my Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I have also had numerous Best Junior Handler awards in ASCA. In 2010 I joined Jill and started working for her. Jill has taught me a lot from grooming to trimming and even showing. I have gained confidence in working with Jill in just this short time. I can’t even explain how much I respect her and everything she does. See you all in the show ring soon. Thank you Jill Karras for everything you taught me.
Olivia Mazeski

My name is Olivia Mazeski, and I am 16 years old. When I was 11 years old I started assisting at a dog training facility hoping to get help training my Beagle, Bentley. There I met Laura Liebenow, who introduced me to the world of dog showing. I started officially showing dogs when I was 14. I showed Bentley in rally, obedience and showing Laura's Australian Shepherds in Junior Showmanship. This year I have become more involved with shows, earning my first Novice Rally title, and aquiring my three wins in Novice Senior Junior Showmanship in order to advance to the Open class. I started training with Jill in October of 2009 and appreciate all she has taught me. I am excited to continue to grow under her expert hands. I have learned so much under her watchful eye and outstanding guidance, her knowledge and dedication has driven me to accomplish what I have so far, and I thank her for her patience and persistance, that have helped me achieve what I have thus far.
Olivia Jacobs

Hi, my name is Olivia Jacobs and I am 11 years old. I got involved in dog showing in the year 2008. My dog’s name is Miles (an Australian Shepherd) and he is two years old. I show in AKC and ASCA. In 2009 I achieved my 3 junior wins required to move into the Open Junior class in AKC. Recently in AKC, I placed first in Open Junior in February 2010. Miles and I won Winners dog in December 2009. My future goals are to continue showing Miles, finish his championship, and own a grooming salon. I would not be where I am now in dog showing without Jillayne Karras, who has taught me so much about dogs. I am looking forward to my future in dog showing.
